Faculty Prizes & Awards


FACULTY PRIZES AND AWARDS

1.     Faculty Prize:  An annual prize in books awarded to the best final year DVM student, provided the student passed with distinctions in at least two subjects of the degree course.
2.     Departmental Prize: An annual prize endowed by the United Bank of Africa (UBA), available in every teaching department of the University, to be awarded to the final year student with the best performance in all courses taken in the department.
3.     Nupemeco prize:  Annual Prize awarded to the best all-round final year student i.e. the student who received the highest number of departmental prizes in the Faculty.
4.     Liman Ciroma Prize: Annual prize awarded to the best final year student i.e. the student with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average during the DVM degree programme.
5.     Coomassie Prize:  Annual Prize endowed by Mallam Ahmadu Coomassie, O.B.E. awarded to the student with the highest mark in DVN final (600 level) degree examination.
6.     Professor D.H. Hill Prize in Clinics: Annual prize awarded to the best final year student (i.e. student with the Highest CGPA) in Clinics.
7.     Mr. Olagoke Oladinni Prize: Annual Prize awarded to the best final year student in Veterinary Medicine as a subject.
8.     Professor D.H. Hill Prize in Public Health and Preventive Medicine:  Annual Prize awarded to the best final year student (i.e. with the highest CGPA) in Veterinary Public health and Preventive Medicine as a subject.
9.     Professor D.H. Hill Prize in Veterinary Surgery: Annual Prize awarded to the best final year student (i.e. with the highest GPA) in Veterinary Surgery as a subject.
10. Professor Joseph Ukpe Akpokodje Prize: Annual Prize awarded to the best final year student (i.e. with the highest GPA) in Veterinary Reproduction as a subject.
11.  Olatunji Agbato Prize: Annual prize awarded to the final year student who scored the highest mark in Small Animal Medicine.
12.   Olufunmilayo Agbato Prize: Annual Prize awarded to the final year who scored the highest mark in Poultry Medicine.
13. Profesor Oyebola Awujola Durojaye Prize: Annual Prize awarded the final year student who scored the highest mark in Veterinary Virology.
14.  Abiola Postgraduate Prize: An annual prize awarded to the best Masters Student in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
15.   Lekan Ayanwale Prize: An annual prize to the best Masters Student in the Department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
