WELCOME ADDRESS

The Department of Veterinary Surgery and Reproduction is a bi-disciplinary Department teaching courses in two distinct subject areas of Surgery and Reproduction (Theriogenology). The Clinics classes in both units involve the 500 and 600 level students who are divided into groups which are taken by groups of lecturers simultaneously. The clinics also involve ambulatory classes where students are taken to clinics and farms outside the University or even outside Ibadan. The lecturers are also involved in clinical services to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. The Department has two theatres for small and large animals, reproduction laboratory with phantom room which by recent rating is the best in Nigeria.

The Department has all it takes to train both the undergraduate and postgraduate students.
