Welcome : Veterinary Teaching Hospital, University of Ibadan, Nigeria

The Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) is a component of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine that is involved with the clinical training of students on the DVM and veterinary postgraduate programmes of the University of Ibadan, as well as, provides residency training for the professional postgraduate programmes of the Postgraduate College of Veterinary Surgeons, Nigeria. The VTH is also the arm of the Faculty that provides consultancy and hospital services to animals including pet, food and wild animals. It serves as tertiary health care provider for animals as it parades an array of specialists in several fields of veterinary medicine such as internal medicine (small animal, large animal, aquatic animal, avian), surgery (large and small animal), theriogenology, preventive veterinary medicine, public health, microbiology, parasitology and pathology (anatomic and clinical).
We provide veterinary services to the Zoological Garden and the Teaching & Research Farm of the University. The VTH also runs outstations at Eruwa, 72 km south west of Ibadan and at Ayete, 103 km northwest of Ibadan.
