Veterinary Parasitology

Welcome Welcome to the Department of Veterinary Parasitology and Entomology, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. In the domain of Tropical Animal Health, the Department of Veterinary Parasitology and Entomology is well positioned to play a leading role, especially in research and the training of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
All faculty members of the Department of Veterinary Parasitology and Entomology hold a PhD degree and are Fellows of the College of Veterinary Surgeon, Nigeria and hold appointments in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
Organized into four academic units (Helminthology, Protozoology, Entomology and Acarology), our faculty members include scientists with advanced training and expertise and conduct research at every level, from the fundamental aspects of molecular and cellular biology to clinical investigations that promote animal and human health. Through research, a spirit of discovery and innovation is introduced into the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, creating a unique educational environment that builds knowledge, cultivates clinical skills, and fosters a spirit of life-long learning.
